Dr. Saskia Prasca

Biography

I am an adult hematologist trained in Spain, with a special focus on bleeding disorders, primarily hemophilia. I had the opportunity to pursue post-doctoral research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in California, USA. My professional and educational experience includes working in Spain, the United States, and Ireland.

I’ve been assistant professor for medical students and post-graduate internal medicine students and hematology fellow applicants. I´ve also been editor for hemophilia.

Currently, my outpatient practice in Colombia is dedicated entirely to bleeding disorders. I have gained valuable experience working in five different cities across Colombia, serving patients from diverse locales, including both urban and rural areas. This has provided me with insight into the unique and often unmet needs of hemophilia patients in my country.

I am a strong advocate of teamwork and maintain close communication with the multidisciplinary team at my center to develop tailored treatment plans for my patients.
