Mrs. Karen Strike
PT

Mrs. Karen Strike is a physiotherapist and part-time professor in Hamilton, Canada. She attended McMaster University for both her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology as well as her Masters in Physiotherapy. She is currently in the process of completing her PhD from the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University. Mrs. Strike’s PhD focuses on aspects of Point of Care sonography in haemophilia. She has worked with both adults and children in her field and most of her publications have a strong focus on point of care ultrasonography, which include recommendations for training and competency evaluation. Mrs. Strike serves as a reviewer for major journals such as the Journal of Thrombosis Research and the journal Haemophilia.

Research Interests

  • Mrs. Karen Strike has a strong research interest in haemophilia. Her areas of research include joints, musculoskeletal deformation, musculoskeletal lesions and repair, rehabilitation care and services, trauma and injuries.
